Vermont utility may owe up to 2 million in refunds
Vermont report says Green Mountain Power Corp the states second largest electric utility may have to refund up to two million dollars for overcharges made last year. From June 26 to Nov 29 1974 customers were billed under a temporary 55 percent rate hike later trimmed by the Public Service Board to 35 percent. The company says it lacks funds for refunds and seeks a permanent rate rise over 13 percent above the temporary boost.
