Distributive Education Courses Tap New Talent Source
The distributive education program lets high school students work part time in retail with school credit. It pairs in-class retail distribution courses with at least 15 hours of on the job experience weekly, under age 16 and with good academics. Woolworth Co. calls it vital for finding future managers. The program is supported by trade groups foundations and the federal government through Commerce and Education offices.
