Village flood insurance never purchased in Hoosick Falls
Hoosick Falls officials failed to buy federally subsidized flood insurance for the waterworks despite an August 10 1976 village board resolution. Flood damage last week to the pumping station and wells prompted estimates of costs around 26000 with insurance unlikely to cover purification. Mayor Bogardus noted an oversight and minutes will be reviewed to determine exact board actions while a town meeting with zoning and sewer bond items is set for tonight.
