Negro College Will Benefit From Offerings
The Vestry of St. Peter's Church designates half of the parish Lenten offering to debt reduction and half to St. Augustine's College in Raleigh North Carolina. Founded in 1867 the college belongs to the United Negro College Fund and the Association of Episcopal Colleges. The allocation reflects parish concern over the racial crisis and St Augustine's ties to the church and its mission to aid self-help efforts.
