Space Scientists Identify Tektite Moon Origin
Ames Research Center scientists used reentry heat tests and trajectory analysis to link tektites found on Earth to the Tycho crater on the Moon. Dr. Dean Chapman said an iron meteorite struck the Moon about 700,000 years ago, creating molten ejecta that formed tektites and later fell to Earth as glassy showers.

Few Signs of Tokenism Top Jobs Await Black Graduates
Arnold Sawislak reports that top dollar jobs for Negro college graduates are scarce in parts of the United States. Starting salaries for blacks and whites exceed $8,000 in many fields, with hints that qualified Negroes can command premium pay. No evidence found for firms seeking showcase Negroes.
