London Z-wagon clears illegally parked cars in minutes
London uses a truck mounted Z-wagon with hydraulic arms and slings to lift and tow away illegally parked cars within three minutes. Designed for narrow central streets by J L Breese of the Metropolitan Police, it costs about 25000 and operates with two trained civilians. It has aided traffic flow, aided fingerprinting, and drawn international interest while Scotland Yard holds design rights.
