Rennselaer County appoints boards for new assessment law
In 1972 formal complaints on tentative assessments will be heard by Boards of Assessment Review across New York. The new Real Property Tax Law amendments separate assessment from review, creating local boards with three to five members trained by May. The boards will hear complaints on legal, erroneous, or unequal assessments and set grievance day and meeting hours.
