Aiken seeks 50000 for Roaring Branch flood plan
Sen. George D. Aiken announced that Army Corps of Engineers estimates the Roaring Branch flood control project at Bennington requires 50000 for fiscal 1967 planning. He urged inclusion in the Senate appropriations bill so planning can be completed in 12 months starting July 1 1966 and construction could begin in fiscal 1968 if funds are provided. The plan aims to protect the site of the new Mt Anthony Union High School amid a steep drop in Roaring Branch.
