New Area YMCA Center Already Here in Spirit
Herbert H. Leonard, chairman of the YMCA Center campaign in Southwestern Vermont, says the new YMCA is here and operating though construction will begin soon. He cites the beef and beans roundup with 100 students shaping programs, notes shifting public attitude from skepticism to genuine interest, and forecasts bids after state fire marshal approval as architects’ plans advance. The center will embody the community’s concern for its youth as a tangible building.
