Aids for College Students Grants and Work Study Details
Aids for college students describe opportunities for grants through colleges and universities under the educational opportunity program. Grants depend on need and may last up to four years, with first-year awards from 200 to 800 dollars. The college work study program, funded largely by the federal government, offers on and off campus jobs with limits of 15 hours weekly during term time and up to 40 hours in vacation periods, potentially providing 700 to 800 dollars yearly. Diana Margaret Lamb of Old Bennington, Vermont, earned a psychology BA from Pembroke College at Brown University on June 3, joining the 200th commencement where President Ray L. Heffner awarded degrees to 600 men and 200 women.
