Manchester Teachers Assn elected Herbert W. Bowen as president for the 1968-69 term and summer months. Morene Kushner was chosen secretary treasurer. Retiring school director Ralph Fleming Jr. was honored at the year end dinner. Eugene Kayatta will return in July. Virginia Wilkins and Carole McClure organized arrangements.

Surprise 30th wedding anniversary for Shaftsbury couple
Mr and Mrs Robert Kline were surprised Saturday at a Shaftsbury firehouse party honoring their 30th anniversary. About 50 friends attended a buffet as Roberta Kline and Mrs James King organized the event. The couple wed June 3 1938 in Hoosick Falls New York.
