Stanley Hyman, 51, literary critic and Bennington College professor, died unexpectedly last night at Rainbarrel restaurant in North Bennington. An autopsy will determine cause of death. He taught Myth-Ritual-Literature and published The Armed Vision and standards. Survived by widow, four children, a brother and mother. A college service will be held at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Carriage Barn.
