Fair Opens Tonight at St Francis de Sales Academy PTG Event
The second annual PTG fair at St Francis de Sales Academy starts tonight under co chairs Mr and Mrs John Stone. The weeklong event features rides games prizes and food booths with a Saturday matinee and nightly social. Proceeds fund PTG activities. Also notes July to September winter months in South America and ideal conditions for winter sports in Chile Argentina.

Mrs. Clara Keough of West Road, a longtime operator at the Bennington telephone exchange, retires this year. A dinner Saturday at Paradise Restaurant recognized her 46 years of service with a scroll from Thomas W. Donaldson, traffic manager of Southern Vermont for NE Tel and Tel Co. Open House Set At First SOS Village in U.S
Morrisville reports the SOS Children's Village, the first in the United States, will host a week long open house July 30 through August 9 from 10 00 to 17 00 and 19 00 to 21 00 at the Ellis House near Route 100 north of Stowe. Thelma Hartshorn, first mother, will be at home during the dates. Cleveland House construction has begun and may be ready this fall as preliminary work continues for the first arrivals shortly after the open house.

Enrollments Hit Record in Y Pool Summer Classes
More than 500 boys and girls joined the Y pool program this summer. Beginners totaled 407 across three periods, with 131, 156, and 120 in each session. intermediates 65, with 23, 29, and 13. and swimmers 48 with 15, 24, and 9. Certificates awarded to 15 beginners, 6 intermediates, and 3 lifeguards.

The Western New England region of Hadassah will hold a fund-raising and program institute on Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Mrs. William Goldberg in Longmeadow.
