Mountain Valley Health Center opens in Londonderry clinic dedication
Mountain Valley Health Center moved June 1 to a new Londonderry facility serving six towns with overflow patient visits since January. Dr. Roger Fox leads a small team including a nurse practitioner and administrator Mike Ross funded by UNC Rural Practice Project. The center aims to add a second doctor as demand grows and began with more than 2,000 patient visits through June 30.

At 11 04 this morning a 1971 Chevrolet driven by Jom F McCaffrey 46 of Putney struck 9 year old pedestrian Duane J Mason Jr of Woodford on Route 9 east of Bennington. Mason was taken to Putnam Memorial Hospital and later to St Peter s Hospital Albany with leg fractures in three places and head injuries.
