Barn Fire Destroys Large Structure in West Arlington
A massive fire at the Millard Vaughn barn near West Arlington destroyed the west end and roof of a three story hay barn storing about 3,400 bales. Firefighters from Arlington and nearby departments battled the blaze from Wednesday morning to 3 a.m. Thursday, saving the dairy herd and much equipment while estimating losses in the thousands. The origin remains undetermined, suspected in a basement sawdust bin.
