Space Station Delayed To 1972 As Mission Shifts
SPACE CENTER Houston (UPI) The first space station launch is postponed to 1972. The plan calls for a pre-fabricated station placed in a 253 mile orbit with a three-man crew. Initial stay would be about a month, then up to 56 days on later visits. Astronaut Joseph Kerwin is expected to be among early crew. The project aims to study medical effects of weightlessness and include military experiments from the canceled MOL program. Upcoming goals include a 50-person orbital village and a shuttle linking to the station.

Ape Developed Into Man Six Million Years Later
Yale scientists in New Haven dispute Darwin on human origins saying Ramapithecus predates man by six million years and was a hominid. Findings from jawbones in British and Calcutta museums suggest near-man lineages and longer adolescence in Ramapithecus like hominids.
