Viking finds Mars air clues on water and argon levels
Mars atmosphere analyzed by the Viking mission shows argon near 3 percent, far less than earlier estimates, implying historical atmospheric evolution and potential water beneath the surface. Researchers link low argon to past eruptions and consider oceans or large water bodies in Mars history.

Rocket test probes Einstein theory with space time warp clock
A seven story Scout D rocket from Wallops Island carried an atomic clock toward 62 hundred miles high to test Einstein’s general relativity. The clock, meant to drift faster in weaker gravity, compared with a ground clock at Cape Canaveral, offered 100 fold improved results and about 6 million dollars funded by NASA.
