Shaftsbury school suit settles with out of court agreement
The Shaftsbury School Board’s 195000-dollar suit against the Shaftsbury Elementary School addition’s architect and contractor ended in an out of court settlement. Board member Wilbur Fiske and attorney Manfred Ehrich refused to disclose the settlement amount before checks clear at Catamount National Bank. Fiske called the result satisfactory and said justice was served while Ehrich noted discussions had started at the trial’s outset.
