Heat wave causes water pump failure in Hoosick Falls

Hoosick Falls residents are urged to conserve water after an electrical malfunction in the village water works overheated the main pump. Egyptians beat Libyans in border battle with air and ground forces

Egyptian troops shot down two Libyan planes and destroyed forty Libyan tanks and thirty other vehicles in fierce fighting along the shared frontier. June CPI Shows Steady 0.6 Percent Cost of Living Rise

The Labor Department reports the consumer price index rose 0.6 percent in June, held by cheaper gasoline and slower food price increases.
