Bennington artists find new Peel Gallery space in Danby
The Peel Gallery on Route 7 north of Danby Village showcases Bennington County artists blending old barn features with bright white walls. Works by Churchill Ettinger Elfrida Abbe R.A. Clark and Thomas Dibble share space with pieces by Woody Jackson Ruth Rumney Gene Pelham and Patrick Farrow. Featuring Samuel R. Ogden Jr in the spotlight with metal mobiles and sculptures, the gallery plans carpeted seating and periodic oil spotlights in the silo. The Peel family notes Vermont ties, Vietnam service, and local student connections as they welcome varied artistic backgrounds. Open daily 10 to 5 except Tuesdays, year round.
