Encore Theatre stages The Roar of the Creasepaint The Smell of the Crowd

The Encore Theatre Camp presents a vigorous summer production with ten students and two staff as Sir and Cocky. Kip Rosser and John Spalla deliver strong performances amid music by five young musicians, with director Ted Enik framing the spoof as unreal comedy and noting energetic dancing and engaging singing. A lively crowd, but critics say the piece lacks lasting depth despite moments of cleverness. Local patrons are invited to the Batdee Playhouse to enjoy the show and a few personal notices are included.
