Six One Man Exhibits at Manchester Art Center
The Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester opens six simultaneous shows this week featuring Eve Dawson, William Calfee, Robin Spry Campbell, Churchill Ettinger, Delan Bush, and Harry Shokler. Dawson’s oils burst with color and transparency. Calfee traces a 1937–69 arc from Deity to Level s with interior-space sculpture. Campbell’s pieces emphasize female forms and bone-like structure. Ettinger delivers high quality watercolor landscapes. Bush pursues soft-edged hard-edge color studies exploring infinity. Shokler presents rural Vermont scenes with perceptive color and slight distortion. The review urges readers to visit for a strong, varied, modern-art display.
