Celebration marks 50-year pins for St Jean de Baptiste Society
Sacred Heart Church June 24 hosted a High Mass for eight members receiving 50-year pins. Formed in Woonsocket in 1900, the society has seven decades locally. Rev. Joseph Quinn led the Mass and presented awards. Emma Plourde and Malvina Damour join others with 70-plus years of service. six more exceed 50 years. A buffet followed at the parish house with emcee Paul Gendron.
