Kelly Oil Firm Moves to New Building and Showroom

Francis J. Kelly of 1010 Gage St and his employer plan a weekend move to a new 60 by 30 foot office and showroom on East Main Street. The site replaces an older building, now sold, with display space for plumbing and heating equipment and rear cellar storage. Morse and Butler Inc. built the concrete block structure, and Alvin Kennedy will join as head of plumbing and heating. Kelly will begin marketing Sinclair Oil Co. products as Sinclair branding appears on trucks. In Ithaca New York, Cornell University economists note rural farm activity parallels a single firm’s economic impact in a 1,000–farmer area.
