Drury’s Akhenaton novel illuminates ancient Egypt’s fall
Allen Drury’s God Against The Gods reimagines Akhenaton’s reign through court voices, tracing his challenge to Amon and the rise of Atun. The narrative blends mummy facts and archaeology, portraying Nefertiti, Amenhotep II, and a fractured dynasty as Egypt braces for upheaval. A sequel is hoped.
