NH law recall eyed for U.S. Senate election
New Hampshire House Speaker George Roberts and Senator David Bradley push a recall law to trigger a new U.S. Senate election if a petition referendum votes to vacate the seat in the close Durkin versus Wyman contest. They note current rules would let a governor appoint an interim while a new vote is scheduled.

Majority Democrats offer election dispute plan
In a bid to stop the New Hampshire dispute and win more votes the Democratic plan would allow a search for single candidate skip ballots while urging the Senate to end the debate. If the fourth cloture fails a fifth attempt would be made. Republicans accuse Democrats of stealing the election if skip ballots are suppressed.
