Chicago businessman Dan Moss, 65, leads Ellipse Corp in a six year legal fight against Ford Motor Co over a pump used in steering mechanisms. Ellipse seeks royalties on 1 to 1.0 million pumps installed 1964 to 1970, potentially 37 million dollars, after a Supreme Court denial of rehearing.
