Man Dies In Crash At Grand Central Terminal
At Grand Central Terminal in New York a Penn Central commuter train derailed on arrival during morning rush hour. One man, Clinton D. Richmond, 38, of Chappaqua, N.Y., was killed and several others injured. A passenger, David Tischler, lost a leg and was taken to Bellevue Hospital. The engineer reportedly approached on yellow lights when the lead car struck a concrete pillar, pulling the second car off the track as 500 to 600 passengers faced disruption. the other six cars stayed upright.

A three judge federal panel in Montpelier ruled the University of Vermont loyalty oath constitutional for faculty. They limited the dispute to the words employed hereafter and interpreted it as meaning currently working for the institution.
