Masonic weekend observances mark Vermont lodge ceremonies

The Mt. Anthony Lodge F&AM held a two day Masonic weekend with St John’s Day services at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Sidney J. Lambert delivered the sermon on St John the Baptist as Taft Commandery Knights Templar served as ushers and honor guard. A prior organ recital by Bonita Lambert, a men's chorus anthem, and trumpet numbers complemented the program. Over 200 Masons attended the outdoor degree the previous day, officiated by Ernest R. McDonald Jr. The event featured a 50 year pin for T. Kenneth Fauley and included meals at Willow Park Pavilion, with visiting Masons from the region. Members from Mt. Anthony Chapter OES, Rainbow for Girls, DeMolay and others assisted. The outdoor degree weather, for two decades, has only failed thrice prior.
