Fabrics May Add Odor Killer Finish With Bacteria Bond
UPI reports researchers at the USDA Southern Regional Research Center have developed an antibacterial fabric finish using hydrogen peroxide plus zinc or zirconium salts. The treatment remains effective through 20 to 50 washings and could cut skin infections and hospital linen contamination while reducing body odor. Commercial use is years off.
