Manchester budget complete with tax rise and new warnings
Manchester selectmen finished the town budget for the new year, with taxes rising about 30 cents on the tax rate to fund a total $765,551 budget up from last year’s $939,988. Net income drops to $377,961 while the tax levy grows to $387,591. The police department’s cost rises as revenue sharing is cut, and several petitioned warning items seek funds for the Humane Society, senior center, daycare, fire equipment, cemetery, and school bus, among others.
