Albany Mall space insufficiency drives state leases
The Albany Mall will not house all state workers as 3,000 plus staff cannot fit in the mall or nearby complex. Gov. Carey seeks an additional 88 million dollars to finish the mall, total cost near 985 million, while 1.4 million square feet remain leased privately in Albany at about 6.39 million per year.
