Arguments Over Dismissing Sirhan Indictment
Defense and prosecutors argued over a bid to quash the Sirhan B. Sirhan indictment for the Kennedy assassination. The defense contends the grand jury excluded minorities, risking unconstitutionality. Judge Herbert V. Walker expected to reject the motion when court reconvenes. Jurors, eight men and four women, face three months of trial with conjugal visits allowed on weekends and strict isolation. The jury pool includes five minorities and six public utility workers, with a high school math teacher and two computer technicians among them.
