Shuffle to Buffalo? Discos Old Soft Shoe Revival
VAN McCOY predicts the Shuffle may supplant the Hustle as a disco age dance. He promotes it on his album Rhythms of the World and in a Soul City Symphony road show with Kipps. McCoy and Kipps run multiple projects from Aretha Franklin collaborations to sheet music and a future disco night with orchestras.

Winners and Losers book review on Gloria Emerson
The review critiques Gloria Emerson s Winners and Losers as a trauma focused Vietnam study that lacks narrative coherence and mutters a moral outrage. It notes Emerson scenes herself rather than deploying a steady authorial voice and credits the book s worthy aim despite weak prose and uneven structure.
