Vermont plans completion of the final 11.7 miles of I-89 in Montpelier with two more contracts bid on Feb 7 and 14. Total 130 miles of I-89 will be in service or under construction including 24.1 miles of stage II from Sharon to Brookfield and 9 miles to Vermont Route 107 due in November 1969.

Captain Loh Receives Air Force Commendation Medal
Capt. John M. Loh, son of Julius E. Loh of Washington, D.C., earned the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal at Da Nang Air Base Vietnam for meritorious service. Previously cited for outstanding technical knowledge at Eglin Air Force Base Florida, he is an F-104 Starfighter pilot with Pacific Air Forces. A 1956 Gonzaga High School graduate, Loh earned a B.S. and his commission in 1960 from the Air Force Academy. his wife Barbara is daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Kornitzer of 199 Scott St., Bennington.
