Nurses report inadequate hospital care and deaths
A nationwide survey of 10,000 nurses shows 38 percent would not want to be patients where they work and 18 percent know of nurse-caused deaths. Four percent report personal mistakes led to a patient’s death. The findings spark calls for nurses to have a voice in hospital management and quality controls, amid staffing and paperwork concerns.
