About fifty members of the Vermont State Highway Department right of way staff began a 20 week Saturday orientation and training school in Green Mountain Power Company Auditorium on January 8. The program covers current procedures and federal regulations affecting right of way, including appraisals negotiations and engineering for acquisitions, with emphasis on fair market values and property damage awards. Instructors hail from the Vermont Department of Highways and Planning Divisions, with legal matters handled by the Attorney General’s staff.
