Major snowstorm shuts schools in New England region
United Press International reports a second major snow storm this week blankets southern New England forcing school closures in Connecticut Massachusetts and Rhode Island and snarling morning traffic. injuries include an 8 year old boy struck in Northampton and a trucker injured when a rig plunged into the Quaboag River Brimfield. National Weather Service warns heavy snow and freezing rain with accumulations of 6 to 10 inches in southern Vermont and 3 to 5 inches across Maine New Hampshire and northern Vermont.
