Bennington Selectmen Preserve Tabloid Town Report Format

Selectmen agreed to continue printing the 1971 town report on newsprint in a tabloid form, distributed with The Banner. They plan permanent copies later for government offices and libraries, with a smaller 7 by 11 inch size, reinforced cover, and higher quality paper, aiming for broader, lower-cost access. Local residents criticized the tabloid’s unwieldy floor use, while supporters say wider distribution brings government to the people and saves money. The report is slated for printers in mid February.
