12 Year Old on Heroin Reveals Street Drug Ties
In Albany a 12 year old boy named Ralphie testified before a legislative committee about his heroin habit. He described starting with glue and cleaning fluids then progressing to pot heroin and mainlining. He said he bought and sold drugs with older youths to fund his habit and committed theft and muggings to obtain money. He identified selling to schoolmates in $2 bags and living on the streets of The Bronx. He urged urine testing for students while officials warned of rising youth addicts in New York City, noting the issue now touches white middle class families.
