Harlem mosque destroyed in first act of retaliation
An explosion and three alarm fire destroyed a Black Muslim mosque in Harlem early today in what authorities called the first act of retaliation for Malcolm X's assassination. Five firefighters were injured, one seriously, and a civilian was hurt. Police studied a brown paper bag found on a nearby roof for oily substances. Hundreds of officers flooded Harlem to prevent violence between Malcolm X supporters and Black Muslims as the funeral for Malcolm eriously approached. The building on W 116th Street and Lenox Avenue lost its offices on the top floor. Malcolm X was shot Sunday in a Harlem ballroom, and investigators suspect the Black Muslims. Khanh Exiled In New Job As South Vietnam envoy

Winged Space Craft Tested By U S Air Force
The Air Force launched a polka dot glider 39 miles high aboard a Thor Delta rocket at 9 36 a m EST for ASSET tests. The Delta winged craft reached 13 300 mph, skimmed Atlantic for 23 minutes, landed in sea under parachute. Divers and ships rushed to retrieve the craft and records as recovery planes closed in. Justice Felix Frankfurter Dies at 82 in Washington
Former Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter died at George Washington University Hospital after a series of heart seizures.
