Springfield 16 year old dies in snowmobile crash
William Hartshorne, 16, of Springfield, son of Whitney Hartshorne and Patricia Heath, died after the snowmobile he drove collided head on with a car in a blinding snowstorm. Passenger Rodney Crandall, 14, injured with a broken leg. operator Frank D. Anderson, 49, unharmed. Hartshorne, a Springfield High School junior, was born April 25, 1955 in Burlington. He had lived in Brattleboro and Naperville before moving to Springfield in 1965. Survived by parents and grandparents. See YOUTH DIES Page 14.
