George Van Santvoord of Shadowbrook Farm dies at 83 in Williamstown Massachusetts while wintering there with his wife Alice. He was Hotchkiss School head master for 29 years, a Rhodes Scholar, Vermont state legislator for a decade, and a Yale and Oxford alum born in 1891. He returned to Bennington 1955 to retire on Shadowbrook Farm.
