Hard Jr with Jane Hobson and Esther Swift updates the original with more pages maps photos and a dated information section for annual revision priced 1.50. The Mad Doctor's Drive by Ralph Nadling Hill recounts Dr H N Jackson’s 1903 cross country auto trip with photos map foreword and technical section priced 3.50 hardcover and 1.50 paper.

A 17 year old Rutland high school student Elwyn Thomas Layden will represent Vermont at the seventh annual Williams burg Student Burgesses in Williamsburg Virginia February 15 to 19. Layden is president of Mt St Joseph Academy student body and vice president of the Vermont Association of Student Councils. The event gathers 95 delegates from 34 countries and 50 states to discuss youth and the space age among other topics.
