Hoff Seeks Wider Participation in Federal Food Program
Hoff urged the overseers of the poor in 104 Vermont communities to join the surplus foods program. He noted more than 21 000 needy people already benefit in 142 towns and said residents in nonparticipating towns often write for information or aid. Since participation is voluntary, he said the inquiry should go to the local overseer of the poor.
