Shaftsbury Girl Run Over by Moving School Bus
A 12 year old Shaftsbury girl Tracy Jones a seventh grader at Mt Anthony Union Junior High School was seriously injured early today when she slipped between the front and rear wheels of a moving school bus and was run over. She was rushed to Putnam Memorial Hospital then transferred to Albany Medical Center Hospital for further treatment. State Police said she and other students were running toward the bus when she slipped and slid underneath.
