No Opposition Apparent To Hoffs Highway Plan

A Vermont hearing on a bill to simplify declaring town roads as legal trails drew no visible opposition. The measure, from Rep. Kenalene Collins and Rep. Joseph Moore, would empower selectmen to declare traveled roads and revert unused routes to trails, with trails usable only for foot traffic and no maintenance. It also covers pentroads and requires ten year road measurements by towns and state officials.
