Mrs Olive Vadakin Green 54 of North Bennington died Friday at Putnam Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born August 1917 in Bennington to Hollis and Nellie Dunican she trained in Pownal schools. Survived by six sisters and a brother, funeral Monday at North Bennington Congregational Church with burial in Grandview Cemetery. In Montpelier the Vermont House passed bills extending zoning act deadlines and enabling retirement at 55 with benefits, while approving longer than 60 foot motor transport on state highways. Two Die In Green Mountain Stock Farm Blaze

A fire at the Green Mountain Stock Farm near Randolph killed two people Gary Phurston a Randolph firefighter and Rolland Tabor 12 of Randolph who were in the riding arena when the roof collapsed three others were injured and treated at Pifford Memorial Hospital. Firefighters from Randolph Randolph Center and East Randolph battled the blaze which began about 1 30 p m and was controlled within an hour. Injured included Michael Cahoon 15 Rolland Burkine 22 and Arthur Churchille 28 all from nearby towns.
