UVM Graduate Student Finds 7000-Year-Old Worm Image
UVM graduate student William T. Perrotte Jr reports discovery of a tiny marine worm named Manayunkia in Lake Champlain sediments. The worm, usually found in brackish water or near oceans, was previously undocumented in New England waters. The find adds to lake science and raises questions about ancient aquatic life in Vermont.
