Bill for education tax credits proposed in Vermont
Rep. Larraine Graham of Burlington plans to introduce a bill when the legislature convenes to provide income tax credits up to 500 for families with children in private schools. The measure, revived after a previous dead end in committee, aligns with Nixon’s views on aiding parents who send children to nonpublic schools. Graham argues public school students already receive state aid and that the state would fund all Vermont students under this proposal.
